Tyler Farr recently released “A Guy Walks into a Bar,” the next single off of his upcoming Columbia Nashville LP. The song, written by Melissa Peirce, Jonathan Singleton, and Brad Tursi, hit a chord with the Missouri-born singer, who loved the use of a simple act—walking into a bar– to highlight everything from a relationship’s first exciting meeting to heartbreak.
Hailed as a breakout new country male vocalist, Columbia Nashville’s broke through the country and all genre charts last year with his debut album, REDNECK CRAZY, which landed at #2 on the Country Albums Chart and #5 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart and marking the year’s highest entry by a debut male country artist on the all-genre Billboard 200 album sales chart at its debut. His #1, platinum-selling title-track “Redneck Crazy” was called the “song of the summer” by The New York Times, garnered more than 18 million combined video views and earned Tyler a CMT nomination for “Breakthrough Video of The Year.” He celebrated back-to-back #1 singles, and his first #1 as a songwriter, with his Gold-certified hit “Whiskey in My Water.” The Missouri native’s dry wit and energetic live show have earned him industry recognition as a 2014 CRS New Faces of Country Radio and 2014 Music Row “Breakthrough Artist of the Year” nominee, as well as rave reviews for his coveted opening slots touring with Jason Aldean, Florida Georgia Line and Lee Brice. Tyler has appeared on The Today Show and Fox and Friends, and will appear on Fox and Friends’ All American Summer Concert Series on August 22nd. He is currently on tour with Jason Aldean’s 50-stadium BURN IT DOWN TOUR and was recently selected to open for the next leg of Brantley Gilbert’s LET IT RIDE TOUR, beginning in October.
