TYLER FARR GETS “REDNECK CRAZY” IN TIMES SQUARE

Columbia Nashville Artist Confirms Album Title And Reveals “Redneck Crazy” Album Cover Timed To Ram Country on Yahoo! Music Performance

Columbia Nashville artist Tyler Farr recently took to New York City to do something he’s never done before; take over Times Square. As part of his debut Ram Country on Yahoo! Music performance (http://music.yahoo.com), Tyler hit the Big Apple and brought his Top 20 hit single “Redneck Crazy” to one of the craziest cities in America. Along the famed city’s backdrop, Tyler brought the song to life from the top of the Empire Hotel before taking to the streets of Manhattan to indulge in some of NYC’s finest day-to-day activities. Following his performance, Tyler headed to the heart of the city to watch a surprise unveiling of his debut album cover unfold before his eyes across the Sony plasma big screen, right in the middle of Times Square.

Of the “Redneck Crazy” album cover reveal, Tyler said “I know I’ve said in the past that I wanted to make an album that you could take anywhere, but to see myself on a huge billboard in Times Square, especially with the album cover reveal, is beyond crazy, it’s just surreal.”

Even before its official impact and success at country radio, the single “Redneck Crazy” received critical acclaim, with MusicRow’s Robert K. Oermann declaring, “Tyler Farr grabbed ahold of my ears and didn’t let go for a second…. It’s a gripping little record,” and All Access cheered, “Farr romps through ‘Redneck Crazy,’ with passion and soul, clearly swinging for the fences–and he connects. Simply put, this feels like a smash.” The fast-moving single also caught the attention of The New York Times, and was recently featured in the publication’s Playlist column as “Naughty Revenge, Just Plain Naughty and Not Plain at All.”

Currently still climbing the Mediabase Country (#17) and Billboard Country charts at (#16), Tyler’s video for “Redneck Crazy,” which features special guests Lee Brice, Colt Ford, and Duck Dynasty’s Willie Robertson, also continues to gain traction in the video world, with over 2 million views for the song’s video on VEVO and counting. Tyler’s fan base also continues to grow, with Facebook users growing more than 600 percent in the last three months alone.
