TYLER FARR SHOOTS WHISKEY TO THE TOP OF THE CHARTS
Gold-certified Hit “Whiskey in My Water” Reaches #1
July 14, 2014—Tyler Farr’s co-penned “Whiskey in My Water” today reached #1 on the Mediabase Country chart, marking the singer/songwriter’s second #1 single off his REDNECK CRAZY debut album. The Gold-certified hit also gives Tyler back-to-back #1 singles, another first for the Missouri native, who has spent the past year racking up career milestones including CRS New Faces, the release of his album to #2 on the Country Albums Chart and #5 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart, and his first #1 platinum-certified hit “Redneck Crazy.”
“It is truly humbling and I am very grateful,” said the singer of his first chart-topping single as a writer. “I couldn’t ask for a better management team and my record label staff at Columbia Records. And to the fans…Y’all are awesome! Thank you for making this happen, and especially to country radio for all of your continued support from the beginning. Any day I can wake up and play country music for a living is a good day to me. Thank you!”
To date, the chart-topping single “Whiskey in My Water” has also surpassed over 3 million VEVO views and counting. Currently receiving rave reviews on Jason Aldean’s 50-stadium BURN IT DOWN tour, Brantley Gilbert also recently selected Tyler for the next leg of his LET IT RIDE TOUR. Tyler will be featured on the tour from October 30 through December 6. Additionally, Tyler ranked on Billboard’s First Ever Billboard Artist 100 Chart, landing at #93. The chart is the first-ever weekly ranking dedicated to measuring artist activity across our most influential charts, and blends information culled from album sales, track sales, radio airplay, streaming and social media fan interaction to provide a weekly multi-dimensional ranking of an artist's popularity across all the main means of music consumption.
Farr recently made his network morning show debut on TODAY performing his Gold-certified single and will next be seen on Fox and Friends “All American Summer Concert Series” on August 22nd performing his #1 platinum-selling hit “Redneck Crazy,” which has grown to over 12 million video views-and-counting as well as his current #1 single, “Whiskey in My Water.”
Tyler Farr’s breakthrough debut album REDNECK CRAZY marked the biggest country debut of the year by a new male artist, landing at #2 on the Country Albums Chart and #5 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart-- the year’s highest entry by a debut male country artist on the all-genre Billboard 200 album sales chart. Hailed as the “song of the summer” by The New York Times, the #1, platinum-selling title-track “Redneck Crazy” garnered more than 12 million combined video views and earned Tyler a CMT nomination for “Breakthrough Video of The Year.” The Missouri native’s dry wit and energetic live show have earned him industry recognition as a 2014 CRS New Faces of Country Radio and 2014 Music Row “Breakthrough Artist of the Year” nominee, as well as rave reviews for his coveted opening slots touring with Jason Aldean, Florida Georgia Line and Lee Brice.

Read Arizona Daily Star's write up on Tyler Farr's Country Thunder appearance this past weekend on AZStarNet.com.
“He may be new, but Farr has some serious juice. He’s been friends with Ford for years and has been on the road with Aldean for a big stretch of his last tour; he’s back on the road with Aldean in May through the fall. Those were some big gun guest appearances, but frankly, Farr didn’t need them. He showed the Country Thunder audience that was starting to fill in the lawn for Aldean’s 9 p.m. show that he’s a pretty fine entertainer. He has a platinum-selling debut single, “Redneck Crazy,” that kicked off his big-league career last year and a new single, “Whiskey In My Water,” that’s sprinting up the charts. And he has live show that reminds you why you love country music.”
